Week 17

Hello everyone!

We continued with the classes, this time the last groups passed that focused on listening and reading. 

To begin with, the first group worked with a reading, which was about proverbs, rhymes, many of the examples we already knew, but maybe not others, they also gave us key words so that we could understand the text better, but it was not really a complicated text. And at the end of their presentation they did a little game to check if we had understood the topic.

Continuing with the second group, their topic was very interesting and it was an audio about the culture of another country and how some people see that tradition. They also made use of basic words so that they had an idea about the topic of the audio, and they also handed out worksheets to check the comprehension of the listening.

In the second part of this activity we were with the third group, they worked with another reading and theirs was about how the same language has different meaning in each country, they also gave us key words to help our reading comprehension. Then they gave us a worksheet and we checked the answers at the end.

And the last group played us an audio, they made use of key words to understand the audio, which was about the difficulties one has when learning another language or living in another country that has a completely different language. Finally we completed a worksheet and checked the answers.

And to end this week's class, the teacher gave us the indications about the closing ceremony that we will have next week. He explained that each group will perform an activity, but more than a closing ceremony is for all of us to spend a nice time after all the effort we have made over the years.

That's all we did this week and next week is our last week of the semester and we finish our last year! But it doesn't end here, so we'll see you next week and I'll tell you how it all went at the closing ceremony.
