English Didactics II

  Week 17 Hello everyone! We continued with the classes, this time the last groups passed that focused on listening and reading.  To begin with, the first group worked with a reading, which was about proverbs, rhymes, many of the examples we already knew, but maybe not others, they also gave us key words so that we could understand the text better, but it was not really a complicated text. And at the end of their presentation they did a little game to check if we had understood the topic. Continuing with the second group, their topic was very interesting and it was an audio about the culture of another country and how some people see that tradition. They also made use of basic words so that they had an idea about the topic of the audio, and they also handed out worksheets to check the comprehension of the listening.   Week 16 This week we started with the presentations, which were classes given by our classmates. This time they focused on reading and listening. The first group played us an audio, but before listening to it they taught us key words that would help us understand the audio better. Then they gave us a worksheet in which we had to answer according to what we had heard. And finally they explained some sentences and gave us some tips that could help us at any time. The second group taught us a reading about Cyber friendship and how it originated, they also gave us key words to understand the text, they also gave us a worksheet and asked small questions about it.   Week 15 Hello everyone! This week we started with the last period, but before starting with the class the teacher gave us the grades of last period's activities, and I think we all had good grades. This time the teacher explained another lesson plan, but this one is a little different from the previous lesson, because this one is focused on the Receptive Skills Listening and Reading. With this lesson plan the steps are different because they are focused on PDP (pre-stage, during and post-stage), but we still keep the Warm-up and Wrap up , which is still the starting and ending activity, which is what helps us to capture the attention of the students and also helps us when the class is over to see what they have learned or what they liked the most about the class. Then we start with the Pre-stage , this is where the previous knowledge of the topic is activated, some key words from the text or audio are given using images or other resources. Week 14 Hello everyone!  I hope everyone is well and that the rain has not affected you too much, this week classes were suspended due to bad weather in our country. So there is not much to tell, hoping that next week we will be at the university. See you soon!

  Week 13 In this new week we continued and finished with the classes taught by our classmates, each group made it very entertaining, also this week we finished with the second period.  The first group explained to us about the Vocabulary of Superstitions, it was very interesting to learn new phrases, some I already knew but others I didn't, personally I found it very interesting how in each country they have different superstitions for both good luck and bad luck. Then they did small activities in which we had to put into practice what they taught us. The second group continued explaining more vocabulary and they explained about Personality Traits , then they gave a little quiz for the students to solve based on the vocabulary they were given, they also made small dynamics for everyone to participate and they were given a prize at the end.  Week 12 Here we go again! This week's class was very entertaining because this week we started with the classes taught by our classmates and each group did very well and the activities we did were very entertaining. The first group explained us in the easiest way about the Simple present passive voice, they explained in a very practical and understandable way. They played little games, also some classmates went to the blackboard to correct some sentences, and finally when they finished their presentation they gave us a candy.  The second group explained to us about the Vocabulary of money , personally I can say that I knew some words but I had forgotten their exact meanings.
